hey guys, so for my amp project, i need a relay. Problem is, i don't know the pinout, but problem is, parts express didn't put the pinout on their website, and the datasheet wasn't helpful at all.
heres the relay:
http://www.parts-express.com/kest-ks2e-m-dc12-12-vdc-2a-8-pin-miniature-pcb-relay--075-300
datasheet:
http://pdf.datasheetarchive.com/indexerfiles/Datasheet-029/DSA00508825.pdf

the picture shows the bottom of the relay, which indicates the pinouts, but i can't figure out what its saying
can somebody help me out on it?

That is a douple pole double throw relay, so it can be though of as two toggle switches built into one case.
Pin 1-16 is for the coil to activate the relay.
Pins 4,6,8 are for one switch
Pins 13,11,9 are for the other switch

I'm having trouble immediate telling which pin is common for each switch.

The datasheet link there gives all the info ....

4 and 13 are the commons
6 and 11 are the NC and 8 and 9 are the NO

cheers

Wow! The markings on this thing are clear as mud. I would say 6 & 11 are common. 4 & 13 are NO and 8 & 9 are NC. Best thing to do is test wih a multimeter. 1 & 16 are definitely the coil.
