How to connect ESD?

Can someone explain specifically how to provide ESD protection for this circuit? The sensor is 3 wire with +, -, and dcv out signal. Thanks in advance.

Why do you think it needs protecting from ESD? Is this part going to be touched by anyone?

Well, not being very familiar with this setup, I am following the diagram above. Maybe it's not critical to have it.

Where did you get this circuit from, is it what the manufacture recommends? It's just a tilt switch right?

Yes it's just a tilt switch. The diagram is from the io device it will connect to. It's a product being tested in the market and they are the ones who recommended ESD protection

The ESD protection isn't likely to be protecting the switch .... it will be most likely to be protecting the input to the MPU
The recommendation is probably because they consider that the switch could be at a long length of cable which would make it susceptible to picking up extraneous voltages

Yes Dave. So if the unit is buried inside an enclosure and no one will be touching it then the risk is small.
