How many amps can I pull from my battery?

I have a 7.2 volt 6 cell 3000mah nimh battery pack. How many amps can I pull from the battery continuously without damaging it? Thanks.

300 mA. That's a 10 hour discharge rate.

That answer is very conservative. You can typically pull 1C from an NiMH battery, though it will last only 1 hour then.

I tend to agree with both the above posts.
You don't want to discharge the battery too much though.
