I am trying to wire up my alarm to my car however the relay I have got with it is a 4 wire relay but with 87a as well. I am not sure on how it works i.e what pins connect to what while key in ON and OFF.

Please can someone clarify it for me. Much appreciated.

However this is what I have done and the alarm stays on whilst driving so I have to pull the fuse out everytime:

If there is no 87 then the relay has only one contact which is normally closed (no current through coil). If you energize the coil, the contact will open.

If you need a relay that closes the contact when energized, you have to look for another make (5 pin type) of Bosch relay.

Or I could be wrong and it is not a Bosch type relay. Do you have a complete part number? Does it look like a Bosch relay as shown here http://www.google.de/search?q=bosch...gT-z7XKCQ&sqi=2&ved=0CHgQsAQ&biw=1224&bih=858 ?

the yellow wire of the alarm is for engine cut means everytime that all the sensor activate like shock sensor the alarm yellow wire gives negative signal to engine cut...the yellow wire is used to switching for relay gives negative signal means yellow wire for terminal 86 and terminal 85 for positive 12volts mean yellow wire negative signal 85 and 86 for coil to produce magnetic field to triger the the terminal 30,87,87a.for alarm used terminal 87a and 30...connect terminal 87 fo high coil connection positive 30for grnd..if you dont understand try to us the supplier of car alarm for more info/////tanx
