How do I attach this kind of chip to a breadboard?

Hi everyone,

What kind of chip is this and how do I connect it to a breadboard?

It looks kinda like DPAK? I have some header pins, but it looks like I would need to solder them on really precisely on both sides for this thing to work. Is there some other way you're supposed to use this kind of chip?

If .1" spacing then you might use a 10pin ribbon socket each side for one way of making a B.B. adaptor.
There is also SMT to DIP boards available.

I don't think it's intended to be used in a bread board type system. It's only designed to be soldered to a PCB.

You can also try to dead bug it (place it upside down) on some perf board and then use little wires to connect the pins to header pins that are soldered on the perf board. Whatever is easiest might depend on what stuff you have lying around.

Yeah, like Minder said, those are molex-type connector leads, not designed to be mounted to a board.
If it was me, I'd find the pitch of the pin spacing and buy two connectors for it. Then I could attach wires to the connectors and plug the wires into the breadboard.
Not a permanent installation, but this is a breadboard.

I would just treat each of those 10 pins as an opportunity to wire-wrap. Place the chip on top of a wire-wrap socket, then use short pieces of WW wire to connect each chip pin to the socket pin below it. Plug the socket into the breadboard.

That chip is a circuit board with components on! Not an IC.
That circuit board also has header pins soldered either side, just straighten them and plug them into your bread board!
Or am I missing something?

BTW, those (ebay) leads are handy for many other hook ups.
