Hi there. I need to create a power supply for my arduino. I could buy one from ebay for $1 but I don't want to wait 3 weeks to get it.
I'm not sure if it can be done but I'm just wondering if it's easy enough, can I make my own?
This is what I want to make: http://snootlab.com/lang-en/power-supply/173-4aa-battery-holder-2000000001944.html

so far, i have the following items at my disposal:
1. a cable that fits the power adapter in my arduino on one end, and the other is just 2 wires...
2. electrical tape.
3 electrical wire - don't know what gauge it is...

I'm a newbie at all things electronics but I'm eager to learn if someone can point me in the right direction. I've tried googling how to articles but haven't found anything yet.
thanks.

short of taping 4 batteries together probably not

don't you have any electronics suppliers nearby ?

It would be helpful to all of us if we knew where you were so you could offer other
suppliers

there's a place in your profile for a location

cheers

I have made some small boxes from 3.5mm plywood which I found in a skip.
I am now making a box to house a transformer from 6mm ply which came from a tobacco chest - I quite like the smell..
There are all sorts of plastic containers - what about one from the local chinese takeaway.

A model shop will sell sheet materials which can be used to make small boxes.
