Hooking up panel amp meter

I've been asked to order parts for a panel amp meter (with an upper-limit
alarm relay). They've specified to use a current transformer rather than
than a 4-20mA transducer type sensor. Max amps will be ~35 AC Amps.

Newport has a 500:5 donut
(http://www.newportus.com/Products/ACurrVol/MFO.htm) for $27. This gives me
a .35A signal for 35A input (?).
A 1A panel meter with alarm is $185 (http://www.texmate.com/leopard/1.html).
This can be scaled x100 so a .35A signal reads "35".

Is anything else needed? Note: A qualified electrician will be hooking this
up.

Seems OK. What does the electrician say?

No way for me to ask...We're adding this as an extra to our normal control
panel. We'll sell it to the main office who will send it to a branch who
will have their electician/contractor install it. I just have to make sure
I order all the right pieces.

OK. As a GENERAL rule, I like to be close to the max on devices, i.e. a 50
amp CT and / or meter for 35 amps but your choices may be optimum for your
application.
