I recently built a new home and am about to move in. I am a Amateur
Radio Operator and trained in electronics systems.

However, I am humbly asking for opinions and do you know if these
    exist questions.

    1) I am lloking for a hybrid wired and wireless secuirty system that
I can install. Does anyone have a recommendation. I have found
several systems but I am not vertains as the way to go.

    2) Visual Alarm. I have found modules that will flash for example a
lamp. What I really want is a mechanism that will flash a strobe like
that one would see in a modern fire alarm. I believe that visual
alerting is a good way of preventing theft. This thibng can be wired
    or wireless.

    Thanks for the help.

What part of the world are you in??

Ademco, DSC, Napco, CADDX all make hybrid systems. There's several online
dealers that cater to DIYer's that participate in this group off and on...

DSC would be a good choice for DIY. The "learning curve" for programming is
fairly short and easy. There are a number of 12 volt strobes available (for
the visual component of any system you plan to install)...

    Good luck!!
  3. Every tattletale has a built-in strobe light and the option for wireless
    siren/strobe units.

We agree 100% that visual and auditory deterence are both important.

    Best regards,
