Hello!

My 42" plasma lost power, and am asking if anyone has a service manual
for this model before I go in and check on it. I can provide further
details also on the problem later. I know that Hitachi offers free
access to manuals for service centers.

Would appreciate if you can email directly to my mailbox if you have
it. Thanks.

Regards,
Jason

Highly suggest you have an authorized service center unless you are trained
to service these products.

I doubt your mailbox would take the upload.
Call a service center and have the fault diagnosed
with estimate to repair this unit.(Keep out of it)

It is NOT true that the service centres do not pay for the manuals.

From our experience we would suggest to not go in to the power supply of
your Plasma set! Infact, in most of these models it is considered a
NON-serviceable module, and is not supported for internal spare parts.
Therefore, it is supplied as a complete module.

Before changing the supply, and applying the power back on, it is strongly
suggested to find the cause of its failure. If not, the new supply will be
damaged upon power-up. It is also possible that your supply is in the
protect mode due to some other failure, if it is not defective.

I would suggest to give the unit out for proper service.

I actually brought it to the shop, and interestingly it has power when
plugged on, but there is raster on the left-side (viewed from front)
while the other half is black. I believe thats the L-ABUS PWB could
that be it?

If it's this board, can it be repaired? Do I have to send it back to
Hitachi for a board repair? or replacement?

Am trying to help out in the diagnosis to have faster resolution.

Thanks for all your help.

Jason

Hitachi is one of several that lets the regular
service centre access and download all
service manuals no charge.
