Ummm, "just an amateur" means what? Amateur radio operator? Amateur electronics experimenter/builder? You have found exactly the right place for amateurs of every color and stripe, especially newby amateurs. I like to Experiment with electronics specially when something breaks, or if I can improve something like my current project of bypassing the Ballast on Nec Vt580 Projector, so can replace the bulb with a 100w Led and improve the life time from 2000 hours to 10,000. Sadly for me is not simple hack since it has serial communication. Sadly that is above my pay grade. So I would say I am more electronics amateur. Thanks for the Tip
