Hi all! I'm an electronics newbie. I know very little basics.
I'm looking to do a small project, just because I want to learn something new.
I'd like to make a simple home emergency lighting system for my humble abode using a 12V 5m LED strip cut up and spread throughout a few rooms. I'd like to power it with a deep cycle marine battery, if that's possible.
Eventually, I'd like to charge the battery with a solar panel or a small wind generator maybe.
None of this can happen until I recover from a recent bout of unemployment.
This "plan" is only in my head for now, but I thought I should research it before I put anything down on paper.
For now, I need a place to start... which forum, other sites to research, etc.
