Do you think is better the LED's already applied on the "star" or just the LED like here?

I'd go for ones already on the star.

It's a single lamp with two filements, 12V 21W/5W; 5W for running Light and 21W Breaking.

Based on that, 1W and 3W of power into one or more LEDs should be about right -- but check the brightness yourself.

I'd probably recommend having 3 red LEDs in series so you don't waste too much power, and if these are individually rated at 3W, the most they'll be running at is 1/3 power (for braking). That leaves you with plenty of scope to increase the power if you need to. (but I think I'm repeating myself)

I get the mesures of the "Star" and I just need to double check the depth I have available in the topcase.
