I bought and fixed an old R/C set - xmitter, two servos, reciever, and an
esc.

From what I read esc's are limited in the voltage you can give them to
control, and the total current they can handle (corrections on this are
welcome). This unit has a 15 amp fuse in line with the motor leads, so
that's a good indicator; but I don't know what a voltage limit would be.

The brand and model No. are ACE R/C Inc ET1210. Googling, asking in the
rec.models.rc.water, and contacting the mfr's have brought no answer.

I have no fear of taking the thing apart, etcetera; so suggestions of a way
to figure out a safe limit would also be welcome.

Hi J. Taylor,

Have you tried the ‘ACE R/C Discussion Forums’ at

If they have the model you got the 'R/C set' from it may specify battery
choices.
