What is it that you don't understand?

1s line is current divider rule applied.
2nd line is KCL applied.
3rd line is KVL applied.

What is it that you don't understand?

1s line is current divider rule applied.
2nd line is KCL applied.
3rd line is KVL applied.

I am familiar with the current divider rule but I don't understand how it was applied to obtain the term -j6/8+j6-j6. And then also how to they reach to an angle of 90. The 2nd and 3rd lines I get. Thank you for replying

1. Find Z1 and Z2 and apply the current divider rule,it is trivial.
2. -j is -90 degrees.

Because you have probably handed in your homework, here is the phasor diagram. Notice that I = I1 + I2 .
