Hi, firstly I apologise as this will be very basic to you but I am only starting out.

I want to make a little alarm clock with a snooze function.

I want to have a switch that pressed once generates a ten minute snooze alarm,
twice = twenty minutes, thrice = thirty minutes. Each time a different coloured LED comes on and the alarm vibrates.

I have the following:

Veroboard
555
Logic gate
Shift register
LEDs
A switch
Pizo motor (for vibration)
Battery

Is this enough? And the big question, how do I go about setting it up??

I have solder, iron, wire etc.

Thank you in advance for your help

Yes, just throw all the parts in the blender and see what comes out :)

I assume you mean not that you want to build a clock (the parts list is not sufficient for that), but just a standalone device that you can energize after your alarm goes off to give you the delayed alarm. Is that correct?

Hi Bob, thanks for that! Boy, I wish I could just throw it all in a blender - I never could grasp electronics at school!

I am actually builing a toy, no clock, just a stand-alone alarm you use exclusively for a snooze alarm.
