Help with fixed bias transistor amplifier ???

I am trying to get a fixed bias transistor amplifier to work in the
following free java circuit simulator at: http://www.falstad.com/circuit

The simulator seems to work pretty good for most of the circuits that
I have tried but I cannot get this circuit to work. I am probably
doing something wrong but I don't know what is wrong with the
circuit. Cut and paste the following into the import window to see
the circuit:

The voltage across CE stays constant regardless of the input to the
amp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
