On this circuit I am going to change the sol to 24 volts from 12 volts. I am wondering if all the parts will work with 24 volts. If some need to change what should I use. I am changing the power supply to 24 v also.

The 1K resistor should be raised to maintain the same current specified, and it may not shut-off if the base is not connected to emitter with another resistor to ensure it.

OK thanks...what would you recommend ? I can build it but I can't design it.

Use a 2.2 kΩ resistor instead of 1 kΩ.
Of course the relay must be a 24 V type also.
Photocoupler and transistor are o.k.

The circuit is good for a relay current of up to ~400 mA.

This is what the sol draws.
I have more info ….the sol is 24 v at 4.8 watts it will be on for no more than 50 milliseconds at a time. This is for a high speed drip machine.

Depending on the inductance of the solenod, 50ms may not be long enough to allow the current to build up sufficiently for the solenoid to pull in.
