Can anybody give me some quick advise.
I cant see any way to remove these plugs from the pins, or socket. it
appears that there is no socket and plug but its one unit locked onto the
pins.

Do I have to unsolder it or am I missing something obvious?

thanks guys

I have one word of advice for you. It starts with a 'p' and ends in 'ull'.

** There is no connector - unsoldering is the only way.

I would have thought a good hard yank would do the job. Though I've heard
they're difficult to find.

***** My advice is to learn how to use a dictionary. You will learn how
to spell advice and amateur. You would then be able to advise us that an
armature rotates inside an electric motor. :-

** If the amateur has the armature in a vise - then rotation is
premature.

**IT is not a plug and socket. The other end is likely terminated in a plug,
however. The photo shows a common strain relief system used in lots of Asian
products.

Ignore the moronic advice, which suggests you pull it out.

That's correct. It's a way of attaching wires to a pcb without using a
plug and socket, and without soldering the wires into the pcb directly.
Do I have to unsolder it or am I missing something obvious?

Yes, you have to unsolder the header with the wires attached, they're a
pain to service, but easier to assemble at the factory I guess.
