Heart rate Counter

Hey to everyone out there.
I really need some help with my project in basic electronics desing.
The conditions are:
Design a heartrate counter that
-uses 2 electrodes as the signal source, removes high frequency noise
- counts pulses for 15 seconds every minute
- displays the per minute heart rate for 45 seconds on a three-digit
digital display
- reset the count every 60 seconds and restart the counter

We have done some of the stuff but just can't figgure out how to reset
the counter. So email me at [email protected]
Thanks

You have a counter that works, (maybe?)
The counter will/should/must have a reset pin, sometimes called a
clear pin
when the counter reaches "the magic number", maybe determined by diode
logic and inverters, taken from the counter outputs will trigger the
reset pin of the counter.

Pure diode logic will need a pull up resistor to the supply rail,
otherwise not a lot will happen, between now and the next Big Bang,
every 6000 years +- 1 pope

As soon as the counter reset is accomplished, its output will
hopefully be at zero, so the mish mash of diodes will go back to
normal and let the damn counter count again

A good idea is to use XOR gates instead of inverters, and little DIL
jumpers as pull ups, or even a rotary binary switch, much easier for
setting the "I am equal too" thing. This saves a tremendous amount of
(re)soldering.

On the other hand, if you used a down counter... ... .... ....

It's a problem with the Indian call centres (India, as in Asia, for
USians).

They have such a high turnover in staff on the educational helplines
that many students can't complete their projects on time

So they have to slum it here
