Can somebody help me to Read this?

I go to www.plantronics.com

And I am looking at the
Audio 648 Stereo USB Headset.

On the Data Sheet on the Right side it says
Specification.

Speaker FREQ. Response 20hZ to 20kHz and I know this is the FREQ. Range that the Headphones with be able to Play.

Then it says
Microphone Response 100Hz to 10kHz
Now this means the Microphone will be able to Pickup FREQ. in this FREQ. Range.

Now under this it says
HD 24Bit stereo 48kHz sample Rate.
Is this for the Microphone????

Under this it says
Digital Signal Processing
48kHz wideband Mic with 16Bit Output
What is this????

Then under this it says
24Bit HF Output
What is this for???

Correct.

Correct.

HD 24Bit stereo 48kHz sample Rate.
Is this for the Microphone????
No. The microphone is monaural, not stereo. This is the sampling rate and data-width for the earphones.
Under this it says
Digital Signal Processing
48kHz wideband Mic with 16Bit Output
What is this????
Sampling the analog microphone output at 48 kHz will result in a maximum bandwidth of 24 kHz by the Nyquist sampling theorem, more than adequate for a microphone whose upper limit of frequency response is 10 kHz. The samples are then digitized with a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter.
Then under this it says
24Bit HF Output
What is this for???
It means the audio delivered to the earphones if derived from 24-bit samples of the USB data stream, possibly intensively processed by proprietary Asian electronics technology, meaning you will never know. HF could mean High Fidelity, but you must be the final judge of the quality of sound. If it doesn't suit your needs, return it to China for a full refund of cost plus shipping and handling charges. Good luck with that. Caveat emptor.
