I recently bought an HDMI Switch that came with an IR Remote to change the input and output sources with.

There is only one problem with it, the remotes IR "beam" is extremely small, so in other words, i have to have it pointed at the Switch with hardly and room for mistake.

I tested the switch with a Universal IR Remote, and it worked fine with the angles, but all the buttons did not function properly.

I was wondering if yall had a solution? I have 3 personally, 1) replace the IR transmitter in the remote, but that is a pain but if i must i must. 2) find a universal remote that if fully functional, but again, a pain in the ass if they dont have it listed and say it will "possibly" work 3) use an IR Extender to make the IR receiver at a more appropriate location for the angle i am sitting at but again, im not sure that will work since it is the remote.

    thank you
