GE Simon 3 - Function Not Available??

My Installation guide on page 19 says to press Add then Sensor/Remote
and the system should say Press button on Sensor. But mine says
"Function Not Available".

Oddly enough, my unit came new from NextAlarm with a sticky note that
said these functions are not available. I attempted to program the
unit via the online, but there site never dials into my until from
their site.

And...have you contacted NextAlarm?

No apparent 800 number. Their ticket system says support hours 11am to
9pm eastern and no support on Holidays.

I'll admit they are looking like a 3 man operation right now. Mostly
I'm interested in using their email alert feature - but I will gladly
take their free year of monitoring and the certification papers.

It appears they did some kind of mod on the Simon as I can't program
it without their broken outdated website.

One good thing, Amex is awesome about returns and the customer is
always right..

I wouldn't doubt that they are using somekind of mod-ed panel.

Right, well you can reset the system.
It tells you how to do this in the manual.
I forgot off the top of my head but it does say in the manual. And
that should default any programming if thats the issue.

Also i would assume that an alarm company that has priority panels and
that have modified them so they cant be taken over, well, they never
do me any favors when i call them, not next but protection 1 anyway.
So flash reset, which you have to apply power as you are holding down
a button, and it will reset.
