Thanks for the comments guys,

I have a project I want to do from scratch, but dont really know where to start.

Would love to make a variable speed control for a 240v ac motor. But something that starts in full speed for a few mins, then falls back to the set speed on the speed control.
Not sure where to start or what I may need.

Any advice? Will need to handle up to 2000 watts if possible.
