What happened to the debate about Matthew Orman's FTL cables?

Did he ever send samples to be tested?
What were the results?

Does somebody know?

Yes, the improvement in sound quality was indiscernable. ;-)

The last I saw was his offers on ebay. An FTL kit and a CD with polish
girls. While the girls CD sold, the cable didn't. The pricing was
somewhat different too.
Also of the last I read was his promise to send an FTL kit to Win Hill
for testing.

Obviously he never sent it. He probably realized that his cable would
not pass a serious test.

Actually, he made two visits to my lab. At present he has taken
his FTL transmission cables back to New Hampshire for reworking.

Thanks,

Thanks. It was a reply from you I wanted but I did not want to force you
to reply so I addressed it loosely.

I guess you cannot say more, for some reason, but your reply actually
makes me even more curious.

Well, maybe someday we will hear about the details.

I'm sure you have already read all the significant details of the FTL cables;
they were posted on this board LONG ago.

But what was Orman like in person? Cooperative, confrontational,
pleasant, bad smelling?

I wonder how Orman reacted when confronted with scientific reality, and
how tests were done which disproved his FTL theories and disproved his
own flawed tests methods.

How could he come to those faulty conclusions, and what test methods
could show him that he was wrong.

That Win Hill has not told s.e.d anything about these two visits is a
mystery that makes me curious.
The last thing I heard about this, some 6 months ago, was that the cable
was on its way to Win, and we were waiting for the results of a test.

Were you actually in any kind of doubt as to the result of the test?

What were the results?

I *assume* that someone finally clicked on the problem/opportunity(!) caused
by using two different trigger circuits in the "transmitter" and the
"reciever" to measure a "time difference" between the emitted waveform and
the recieved!!

No, I was interested in the technical details of the test, the debunking
of mr Ormans experiments, and mr Ormans reactions to the results.

Fair enough - but the reaction of flat-earthers to debunking is always
the same. They stonewall, and go on propagating the myth.

I can't see what possible difference would that make and why you'd
expect Win to blab that kind of crap. He was, after all, acting as
a technical consultant for Orman and the results of the tests and
Orman's demeanor and appearance are none of your (or our) business.

I found him to be a very pleasant and courteous fellow. He could
afford to lose a little weight, but I'm working on the same problem.

Thanks,
- Win

Or he is keeping it as an example for a new chapter in AoE or MoA

Because I've seen him in extensive discusssions on-line, and he was rather
confrontational. I'm always kind of curious how people act in real life
versus on-line, especially when their on-line behavior tends to an
extreme.
