Fridge without a freezer section?

We're looking for a fridge without a freezer, to maximize fridge space
(there's a freezer in the other room, and a separate icemaker), but I
don't seem to be finding anything but bar/dorm size units. There must
be something out there, and this group would know if it if anyone
would. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Certainly exists.

I have one sitting in my kitchen! It's a Westinghouse Aurora RP342 model.

However, as I'm in Australia, and it was locally manuactured, I doubt
you'd find it in the States. Still, if a little old South Australian
manufacturer can see the need for it, surely that same demand exists
over there.

If I recall, it was one half of a "pidgeon pair" system. ie. the right
hand cabinet was the fridge, while the left hand was the freeezer. I
just didn't buy the freezer bit.

Some results by searching for "all fridge"...

http://tinyurl.com/blr88 11 cu.ft.

http://www.frigidaire.com/products/refrigerators/all_refrigerator/Large_Upright/productlist.asp
16 and 17 cu.ft.

Just a thought... perhaps there are some models of single-door
fridge/freezers that wouldn't need much effort to remove or modify the
freezer cupboard.

Look in Sears

The wife (ahem) "dislikes" Sears appliances, I was hoping for a
reccomendation for something energy efficient and more tuned to the
homepower crowd.

It's called an " All Fridge "
Woods - Guelph ... I think.
Probably one of the few appliances still made in Canada.
.... if we're lucky ..

Crystal Cold has a refridgerator only. It does not use any electricity
and is very good looking my wife tells me. The Amish make it out of a
Amana that they strip of it's electrics.

What do they do with it? Convert it to propane?
