I have got a old dead flyback transformer of U core. the core is ferrite and good and heavy. I want to make a new one of it. I would be supplying it from a 3 volt AA batteries and want 2-3 KV of it I wanted to calculate the winding of primary and secondary. I have no idea of transformers. can you guide me the guaze of wires for both windings and also the factors I must concern?
