I want to start a HV project but no matter how many flyback resellers
and manufacturers I browse, noone seems to have data sheets ont he
available models. I need secondary windings, overall output, etc..
Anyone know where to obtain this information?

Your best bet is probably to look at service manuals for specific TV
sets. Flybacks are pretty much all custom designed around the set rather
than the other way around so data on a specific flyback is not generally
available.

And note that for many high voltage projects, the detalis really aren't
needed or useful. It's often easiest to ignore the primary windings and
wind your own. The secondary you can often judge by size. :)

Try a websearch for HR Daimen (in Spain I think) - they make flyback
transformers for most TVs & monitors, try emailing their customer support
depo who might be able to help.

H R Diemen have schematics and data for most of the ones they make.
www.hrdiemen.es

I also have a hardcopy Philips flyback databook (from 1990),
which is pretty detailed (but limited to the ones they made for
their TVs in that timeframe, a couple of dozen types).

what is the application?
perhaps a series of voltage doubler caps and diodes would work better for
you?
you can get some respectable voltages that way.

I was on the Diemen site but cannot seem to find a way to "browse"
the parts, just a prompt for a model number. So what am I to do? enter
in every part # they have one at a time? That could take all week :)

My project needs a HVT or Flyback. It needs to be relativly ready,
inexpensive, and NOT custom made (Ie. no primary hacks on old B&W tv
flybacks!) I need to chose the flyback that has the specs I need ready
made so I can just order them in quantity if I need to in the future
without having to do any "hacking" or pay them to make any one-offs..

That said.. anyone have any other ideas?

Maybe you could just pick a transfomer and design your project around it.
Unless your project has very specific design characteristics it sounds like
nearly any FBT would work. Scott

It took me all of 10 seconds to log on their page and scroll to the bottom
where their mailto link is, email them and ask if they have a part for your
requirements as stock. mailto:[email protected]
