I have a Fluke 87 III True RMS multimeter that has problems. One of
my, ahem, techs, seems to have fried a couple of components. I have no
prints or schematics for this meter. I am looking for the part numbers
for the two inline resisters on the far right side of the meter right
above the V/ohm/diode jack. I also need the p/n for the cap to the
left of the top resister. I am currently in the middle of the ocean
and don't have the ability to run to the repair shop. I'd like to
bounce any part numbers you can provide against my 2M stock. Hopefully
I will get a match.
Internet is iffy at best, if you can assist me, please email to
[email protected].
Thank you,

Many of Fluke's high-end DMM (like the 85 and 87) carry a lifetime
warranty. I would contact Fluke on getting a warranty repair.

The warranty is nice, but out here we have to be self-sufficient. I
need to Fluke p/n's so I can bounce them against my spare parts I have
on-hand.

Have you contacted Fluke? They have been very helpful to me in the past,
supplying parts cheap and replacing a defective unit with a new model. I
would be surprised if they would not be more able to help than anyone here.

I tore apart my 87 III and I'll see if I can help you.

The big resistor at the edge of the board right above the right side jack is a
1K - 10%, looks like a 2W size.

Parallel to that is a resistor(?) that is labeled 909k - 1%

The capacitor above the second resistor is labeled 1 - 2KV second line is
labeled 2001.
