Very nice to hear you were part of the fire brigade in your city and that story you posted was cool but unfortunately I would been the one of the guys they would have made ride a bike few miles down the tracks with a bucket of water. While they stand there with a buck of water waiting for me come back D: Must been very hard seeing it wasn't a smooth ride to do and with a bucket full of water.

Also hope didn't post this to late but
But I don't think I really need to make anything because I have something I got from autozone few years ago I think I may be able to use for the led's circuit board. Only thing I have to do is take the strobe I already have out and put the new Leds in. Thing I I would need help with is hooking all these Leds together and finding out if I will need any resistors. I need go and find out more info about this light I have right now. . Its called Pilot Automotive/Quadra LED strobe light. Link to how it looks http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71-19f02DjL._SL1500_.jpg So far I found this out about them
Voltage: 12
Wattage (W): 1
Width (in): 0.75

Thing going use 66 blue leds for one light unit. To me it looked like it uses alot of resistors. Are you going be able help me out with this? Here better photo of thing Im wanting to make

I'm not sure what you want to make. Are you saying that you want to use that Auto Zone LED string with this Strobe?

Saying that thing I have from autozone is already set up to make things flash. I like to know If I could just hook up all these led's together then hook all the leds to that thing I have from autozone.. Or will we need start from scratch with making the whole circuit for the lights to flash?

Forgetting last few thing said. I really like reopen the first thing and that's making the light more bright. Is there any other options out there that could make this light flash more bright?

There are 19 pages in this thread. While this topic is fresh in your mind it certainly is not in mine. I don't remember what the maximum current spec of your LED is. I also don't remember the specifics of how I arrived at a 10mS pulse width. I believe that it was determined that the human eye won't discern apparent brightness increase by increasing the PW to 100mS, which it was in my earlier designs of this.

So refresh me. What's the LEDs max forward current spec?

Your choices are increase the pulse width or increase the LED current or both. Doubling the value of R5 to 20K will double the pulse width. To actually be able to discern the difference in brilliance will require two 10Ks in series for testing purposes. Using jumpers jump out either 10K and observe the LED while removing the jumper. If you have a pushbutton switch it would be much better than using jumpers, as you won't have to take your eyes off the LEDs.

If this doesn't do the trick we'll talk about R3.

Didn't see much happen other than It just a staying on and not flashing. Even after undoing thing I did with the resistor.

Apparently you did something wrong. What ever you did may have damaged something permanently, or you have a bad or bridged connection.

Trouble shooting time! ;)
