I bought a heater ( that I cannot return) the fan does not come on (heater is fine) I have directly connected 240v 20 the circuit board that controls the fan and it still does not work, I have tested the fan directly with 6v works fine. I have uploaded the circuit board image - I and novice at electronics

Likely a blown diode or pwm chip.

If you have a meter and show a picture of the back, we can probably walk you through a repair, although probably cheaper to replace it.

Thanks for the help. Can I buy a simple replacement board _ what would it be called ?

I am in the very north of Thailand so it may be difficult for us to sync up ..

PN8024 is a "non isolated AC to DC converter"
Cursory pricing shows these are cheaper than most transistors and the datasheet is in Mandarin.
It reminds me of a guy that was always begging for design help, forced to using things cheaper than we ever knew existed.
We eventually figured out we were doing his professional design work for him while he was employed by a Chinese firm making things like this.
I will hazard a guess that the chip has borked it's final bork.
you can probably get the chips on ebay and attempt a solder job, Good luck getting a replacement board
heres it's datasheet

and heres some on Ebay

Thank you both for your assistance - I took one out of an old 12v power adapter and that seems to work fine (I hope that was ok)
