    Hello everybody,

I'm wishing to be able to display network activity leds of a RJ45 connector, and i can't find anything satisfying on the net... Hope someone could help here! ;)

The idea is to have a small an simplest as can be board that would have a RJ45 entry, a RJ45 output, and some electronic scheme that would permit to display on this boar with two LEDs the activity on the network, typically like on a PC ethernet female connector.

    Any idea guys?

    Thank you very much!

You should realize that the data rates over Ethernet can be quite high... introducing additional circuitry to these lines can cause signal loss resulting in slower speeds or loss of connection.
Common speeds are 10, 100, and 1000 mbit/sec utilizing at least a differential pair of conductors in the cable. You will need to be very careful that you measure data rate in as non-invasive as possible, or perhaps buy a small network switch instead that you can tinker with to show the LED activity.
