    hi,
Am looking at designing an energy saving circuit for electronics components (to turn off standby mode in our home appliances), can anyone help?
    thanks.

    Welcome,
use a switched extension lead or a master-slave extension lead.
The latter will turn off all auxiliary device (e.g. printer, scanner etc.) if the main device (e.g. computer) is turned off.
Watch out for any component that requires standby current for housekeeping purposes (like keeping time, updating TV guide etc.) Some devices will even forget settings if completely powered off.

    Reghards,
    Harald
