If I have say a Lamp pluged into an Outlet and I stand with my back facing the Outlet.

Then I grab the Plug with my Left Hand.

Am I right my Thumb will point to the Lamp and this is the Direction of the Current.
And my Fingers will go around the plug in the Direction of the EMF Lines?

My Fingers will be going Counter Clock Wise?

It's AC, so you need fingers going in both directions. Also there are 2 conductors, each having current running in opposite directions.

A slightly foolish answer, but the finger thing only works for DC.
