Keep asking for civility and then posting more snide comments. It makes it
clear what you're all about, friend.

It was a reasonable question, given the circumstances.

Yet they monitor state of the art equipment, odd priorities

Any central station that doesn't support SIA or Contact ID is one I'd avoid

Agreed. I have a customer that monitors their own buildings (we provide the
service and maintenance). I can't recall the make of the receiver they're using
but they must go through about a mile of paper a week and only recently
complained they couldn't find a replacement ribbon for the printer. They've
been sitting on a quotation for a new receiver for about four years now. Guess
it's time I investigated some of the new stuff that's out there and send them
another "reminder"... :))

Someone who runs his own private monitoring station I can understand, I'm
talking commercial establishments only

BTW: You forgot to add a Bass slam in that last message

Sorry...

Bass, you stink and your wife dresses you funny...

Note to Mark. There are two "slams" here. I'm playing "catch-up"... :))

He thinks that every panel that sends 4/2 should be torn out and replaced.

Not at all, I'm talking about a station that can't support the format not if
the panel can
Limited as he is ...he can't imagine any circumstance where 4/2 might be
necessary.

I can imagine times where it might be better to use it although thats only
with panels that have limited CID or SIA capabilities like Napco
