Good day everyone, looking for some help. I have a furnace mounted air cleaner that quit! I opened unit and can see a blown cap on board, because unit is from '84 a can't source parts. Is there a way to use caps of different values to achieve the desired one ? 14856357943731790795705.jpg 1485635692225-736950082.jpg Any help much appreciated.

    The cap comes from 1983.
It is labelled MFD, they do not mean this. Nowadays it would be labelled μF.
0.013 MFD is likely to be 13nF.
Also they do not mean 4KV, it should be a lower case k.

I do not know where you can find one, perhaps a higher voltage DC cap would do.

Comment The editior transforms k into K when following a number.

I'd check with a furnace/air conditioning supply place. Maybe an appliance repair supplier.
