Need help with Liftmaster LA500 swing gate operator and how to wire a pair of FAS-1300gs mag gate locks.
Let me know what info or data sheet/diagram is needed.

It is my understanding that the LA500 circuit board cannot power any mag lock (according to Liftmaster) therefore a power adapter has to be used. I have two mag locks, 12v and 24v power adapters available

I have family in Warren, and I've driven through Lodi many times just to get off the freeways. And, traditionally, to buy Oreo's (long story).

Looks like the mag lock has two coils for operating on 12 V when connected in parallel and 24 V when connected in series. And it has a SPDT (form C) status switch. So far, all the right pieces.

The LA500 drawing indicates that it can drive a maglock directly if the lock has its own external power source. The LA500 is acting as a switch, not a power source. Does it have a rating for the max voltage/current/power the maglock output driver can handle? Also, is the maglock AC or DC powered? A photo of a wall wart is not enough information.

Is 12v connection or 24v better ?

LA500 max accessory power is 24v 500MA DC

Mag lock is DC 12v at 500ma or 24v at 250ma each
I am using 2 mag locks

Then two maglocks in parallel wired for 24 V operation look like they are at the save operating limit of the controller. With high res photos of the controller board and some probing around, we probably can figure out how to add an external power transistor driver with much higher ratings.

The external power supply for the mag locks is just a plug in power adapter. The board has two 110v a/c socket
