    Two point charge +2Q and -Q coulombs are located at (-1,0,0) & (1,0,0) respectively in free space. find
    i. Electric field
    ii.potential
    in XY plane(i.e. z=0)

    OK, perhaps you can start by telling us what you can figure out for yourself.

    If you don't understand, you need to go back to your teacher, notes, or text.

    Surely you understand something?

    We don't do people's homework for them, so you need to try and maybe we can help where you are stuck or tell you where you go wrong.

    I think ur question is incomplete but the formula used is E=kQ/r^2
    where in this case r=2 units, K=8.854*10^-12
    V=Er
    take Q as both Q1 in one case & Q2 in other case
