The solar dish I'm looking at will be find (will need battery for low
sun days ). But winters are the same as they use to be. More sun days
than stormy days.

i am a newbie, but i wonder about the energy per day needed in heating
your house. do you have that much to use? if you haven't read up on
it, "passive solar" heating is interesting, but not practical if you
don't have sun in the winter.
It is not practical to use a solar PV panel and its associated storage
batteries for electric heat. Generally, heating requirements are in the 10
to 50 kw range, even more for areas with severe winters. A much better idea
is to use and store the sun's heat directly. Example: An enclosed porch
exposed to the sun will heat up greatly, often so that surplus heat can be
convected into other parts of a house.
