EKG electrodes

    Hello, I have seen that an EKG electrod is a singlepiece, but shouldn't they be 2 to measure a potential difference?

    Yes. An EKG can have three or more leads. A three leaded machine will have one lead near the left arm, one lead near the right arm, and a return lead on the left calve. The measurement is between the left and right lead. The remaing lead is to help reduce stray noise from getting into the machine like line frequency (60 hertz).
