Hi

I have a pair of Easy Radio ER400 modules, a TS and an RS that talk
Serial over 433Mhz (http://www.easy-radio.co.uk/).

I have set up a test circuit that looks like this:

PC TX -> Max 232 -> ER400TS ~~~~ ER400RS -> Max 232 -> PC RX

In the final application I need to TX at 4,800 baud from a GPS.

Connecting to Com1 at 19,200 baud I get a nice echo with no problems.
Connecting at 4,800 I get rubbish.

Easy Radio produce a piece of software called Easy Radio Development
Software (2386mylprs1067341860.zip) that allow you to set the baud
rate of the tx, setting this to 4,800 makes a change:

Connecting at 19,200 I get rubbish
Connecting at 4,800 I get rubbish!

Any ideas whats going wrong?

Thanks
Kev

Hi

I have a pair of Easy Radio ER400 modules, a TS and an RS that talk
Serial over 433Mhz (http://www.easy-radio.co.uk/).

I have set up a test circuit that looks like this:

PC TX -> Max 232 -> ER400TS ~~~~ ER400RS -> Max 232 -> PC RX

[snip]

Talking to the Product Manager at LPRS I have found out that pin 6 of
the RS module (called a general IO pin in the Data Sheet) is actually
a programming pin used in the same was as Pin 5 of the TS module. In
the software treat the RS as a TRS but the TX as a TX to get the 'ack'
command working correctly.

I now have the modules talking at 4,800 baud. FYI I have also found
out that this is just the wire speed at either end, the radio speed is
fixed at 19,200.

Hope that helps someone googling in the future...

Cheers
Kev
