Looking for a basic wireless systems with just a few door/windows
sensors.
Also want a keypad to arm/disarm the system. Was told by a few people
the Visonic Powermax is a good one, looking at the programming
instructions, there are well over 25 pages plus (all which are very
small text with a huge amount of diagrams and programming steps) for
programming.
My question is, what is the easiest basic system to program out there
?
Looked at the instuctions for the linear 1200 keypad and that system
seems alot more straightformward to install. Any feedback on linears
system ?

Appreicate any help.

Heh i havent used linear in a long time .. only thing we really used linear
wireless for was for a remote 4 button thingy which was huge anywyas... if
we ever mix and match systems like installing ademco and not using their
wireless, it would be innovonics.

I think Simon is pretty easy to program and setup. Its a little awkward to
program some of the locations when you keep having to hit next, but with the
instructions in hand and all the voice prompts its pretty easy to
understand.

Be prepared for everyones favorite, including mine. I like the ITI Simon 2
/ 3 Panels, fairly easy to install and program. I *personally* don't like
the linear, but it is because I havent seen one in action in a number of
years.

I agree. I'd go with the Simon 3. It's incredibly easy to enroll the
sensors, very, very easy to program, and the ITI wireless is great.
The manual leaves a lot to be desired, but the only pages I usually
refer to are the Sensor Group Characteristics table and the Option
Settings table.

Don't forget to drop the antenna down the wall

I dunno... If it's only "easiest wireless to install" you are looking for
that Loxxon thing or whatever the Belguim guy got rooked on would have to be
"easiest to install".

Actually you can jump straight to any location you want. For example,
to program option 40, you just push ADD (or DELETE to turn off the
option), then OPTION, then enter the numbers 40 using 'the red
numbered keys', then press done. Option 40 has been turned on (or
off). I usually only have to program 6 - 8 locations on a basic
system, and it takes a grand total of about 3 - 5 minutes.

Bob is right, however, in that you must scroll through the list of
room names when enrolling sensors, but I've never used a panel that
enrolled supervised sensors easier.
