What newer DVD players use IDE to interface the DVD loader? I need a
fairly inexpensive one because I am developing an interface to a
certain device(Can't be specific until patents are issued). I need to
able to interface to IDE/ATA bus rather than a propriority one. I know
some older sampo and Apex players used them but they arn't sold
anymore. If anyone has an older one that works with an IDE I'd be
    willing to buy it (paypal).

I'm betting that you won't find IDE interfaces in today's players. The
trend appears to be to relocate the loader's smarts to the decoder
    board.

You may need to consider a DVD recorder with a hard drive.
