DTMF decoder interfacing with microcontroller - required for robotics control

    Hi there, I need to control robot through DTMF decoder
    so please help me in interfacing with microcontroller

    My robot will move inside a room.... and it has to be controlled through wireless control.... for this I have decided to use FM or Mobile device.... and on the receiver side(robot) I will use DTMF decoder.... now depending upon DTMF codes, robot should move forward/reverse/left/right/stop...
    Please let me know if I need to give more explanation...

    If you want to go for DTMF controlling then you can use mobile. This will reduce the cost of transmitter section.
    Connect the headphone output to the DTMF decoder.
    Then give 4 pin output of Decoder to the microcontroller.
    Go through the datasheet of MT8870.

    MT8870 IC decode the input dial tone to 5 digital output. These digital bits can be interface to a computer or microcontroller for further application
