Over the past few weeks I have noticed the trouble light comes on while
talking on the phone. No apparent loss of signal noticed while talking on
the phone, but it appears that the wire cut module is detecting something.
If the alarm is armed, it sounds the siren, however does not dial our since
it thinks the line is cut. Pressing *2 displays 3 - phone line cut
detected. Does anyone know if the voltage must completely drop for the
module to think the line has been cut, or is a drop in voltage enough to
trigger this. I am trying to figure out if I am having a problem with the
panel or with the phone line.

Thanks
Duane

Make sure you have proper line seizure connected. Otherwise this will happen
every time you are on the phone for an extended amount of time.

If for whatever reason you cannot get the proper line seizure connected, you
can either live with it, or turn off the telephone line monitor in
programming.

check for proper wiring from telco to carbon block to panel. then
from panel to house/businesss. maybe the load factor of the
phones/fax/modems in the establishment is too much.

It sounds like the phone is wired either before or in parallel with the
alarm panel.

You have low voltage on your phone line, call the phone company

The panel should still try dialing out even with the cut phone line trouble
