Says it all really.
Says it all really.
Mr Calm and Collected speaks again !
It's not that you "can't", it's just that calm collectedness is very
seldom associated with profanity. ;-)
Huh? He was a little bit, um, abrupt, but I don't find his post "rude,
obnoxious and ignorant" at all.
rickman said:It was certainly ignorant since he is equating a pristine simulation
to the vagaries of the real world. It was rude because of the way he
tossed simulation input data into the discussion rather than an
explanation of the idea. It was obnoxious because he felt the need to
use profanity (even in an abbreviation it is still a profanity).
I understand that some may not have been offended by his initial post,
but I feel the subsequent posts have vindicated my opinion. I
especially find his physical threats to be very amusing. It would
seem he expects the relative anonymity of newsgroups to protect him
from an unknown aversary. He would be pretty stupid to actually
challenge someone that he knows nothing about. But then we all know
how empty a threat is that consists of words typed on an electronic
page.

What profanity? "BFD"?
BFD.
Thanks,
Rich
Hmmmmmm OK...
Chill out dude. There is no need to display your ignorance or be rude about
things. Life's too short for that. I know this from experience.
There you go, how does that sit with you?
Are you now going to type a 247 line answer in your own defense?
How long before you start accusing people of Ad Hominem attacks?
BTW, Rich made a suggestion.... John gave him an answer. There was nothing
implied in the answer that suggested that the netlist was anything more than
a picture to demonstrate the answer. A picture paints a thousand words you
know....
You might notice his other posts in this thread where he spent a great deal
of time explaining things along with lots of nice ascii art.
The response to Rich was niether ignorant or rude. You just decided to take
hold of the wrong end of the wrong stick and call John Ignorant and Rude.
Why are you surprised he responded in the manner he did.
John typed BFD....... good grief Big Deal.
Anonimity? I don't think so.
John Fields AKA Il Presidente. Austin Instruments, Texas
And you would also know that whilst they are not close friends John and Rich
know each other through SED so Johns answer to Rich would not have offended
him in the least.
What is that part about lurking in a newsgroup before you open your mouth
and put your foot in it?

That Rich Grise is an ungrateful bandicoot and no mistaking! He's probably
really Canadian and therefore French and we know all about those types.
......or am I missing something here?
I especially find his physical threats to be very amusing.
LOL! ;-D
In fact, I'm Minnesotan.
;-)
Yes, I think we are all missing something here.
I can tell from your posts that you don't offend easily. I hope you
did not think any of my posts were criticizing you.

"We?"
Tonto and the Lone Ranger were out of ammunition and surrounded by
Indians, and the Lone Ranger said, "What are we going to do, Tonto?"
To which Tonto replied, "What you mean 'we', white man?"
LOL, what a pussy!
"A wise man is never insulted, for the Truth will increase his wisdom,
and an Untruth is not worthy of note."
I have no idea who said it first, but I like it. It gives me the
opportunity to pretend I'm wise. ;-)
Well, if I were going to bed with someone, I think I'd prefer a "pussy"
to a "prick"! ;-P
