Drill pump

I'm using 3/8 " drill 110 volt I've got it hooked up to a small pump for pumping chemicals.
I need the drill to run at DIFFERNT time setting for instance maybe I only won't the pump
Or the drill to run every 5min for 10 seconds or say run every 15 min for 10 seconds . I
Need help on what I'd need to buy to make this happen . I'm thinking a potentiometers ?
But electronics is not a strong area for me any help would be greatly appreshated.

Chances are you need a custom timer circuit, that is if your on duration is only to be 10 seconds or so... You might be able to use something like a greenhouse watering timer, but I suspect they might not go down to second resolution...

As for what is involved, it's not a simple circuit, you will likely need to use a microcontroller based circuit with a display so that you can program the necessary durations unless they are to be fixed... Another option might be a computer based system but that is likely overkill...
