X-No-Archive: Yes
I obtained a small tube of DeoxIT D100 and despite the package
statement, it wouldn't remove oxidation, at least not from copper.
Find an old penny. Put a bit of vinegar. It dissolves the copper
oxide and becomes shiny. Try the same with DeoxIT. NOTHING!
So, it doesn't remove oxidation and plated contacts typically are
plated of a material that do not oxidize, so how exactly does the
DeoxIT magic work?
