Does Audio video output has NTSC or PAL format

Hi, please I will like to know if the audio video output of a VCR
should conform to one of the TV format like NTSC or PAL ? Will any AV
output work on any TV regardless of the format? SOmetimes for some
DVDs the system has to be changed b4 you can get the colour.

Hello,

Its a bit difficult to understand your question, but I'll try. The
output of your VCR must be the same as your television, AND the tape you
are trying to play. The format of your AV receiver is less important,
as it is just passing the video signal through, though the on screen
display of the receiver might be garbled if its the wrong format.

On a DVD, there is both REGIONAL CODING and the output format to
contend with. They are independent of each other, but not generally
user adjustable, though some 'hi end' units will allow you to select PAL
or NTSC output. The output of the DVD player must match the type of TV
or monitor you are using.

All of that said, there are some specialist TV's and VCR's that are
multistandard and can handle NTSC and PAL. (and maybe even SECAM)
