Hi All,

This may not affect many (any?) out there -- and it may be a known
issue, but if you use the T-Link product on the DSC PC4010 beware that
if you're going to program the pannel using the PC-Link you need to
make sure in DLS that T-Link is NOT enabled in Communicator Toggles
[00-04-01] ... If it is enabled, the download will fail in an
interesting manner about 2/3 of the way through. [And the only way
I've found to use DLS via PC-Link again is to reset the panel to
defaults.

I'm not framiliar enough with DSC to say for certain, but appears that
setting changes are made immediately on download rather than storing
them to act after the download has compleated... The download proceeds
quite well until it hits [what I'm guessing is] the setting for the
T-Link, and toggles the port on the board from "I'm a PC-Link port" to
"I'm a T-Link port", breaking the connection with the host computer.

My setup inclues a PC4020, two LCD4501Ts, a T-Link module, eight
PC4108 8-zone boards, and two PC4204CX combus repower/regerneator, and
I tried all manner of other things (enrolling the modules first,
getting rid of all of the modules, leaving out the 4204s, leaving out
a keypad, etc) and they all had the EXACT problem until I started
digging through the program I had put together and flipped that
toggle.

Interested.
