I wanted to add some diodes, IR's 8EWFxxx series, to my pcb program, but
noticed that the pinout in the datasheet does not correspond with the
component drawing. In the datasheet (8ewf10s.pdf, downloaded yesterday from
IR's website www.irf.com) on page 6 is a circuit diagram of the diode with
one cathode and three anodes of which one is labeled cathode. On page 7
there is a package drawing with two anodes and two cathodes. I do not have
the diode, so I can't measure it. Anybody out there that can confirm the
pinout please? I would like to finish this today if possible.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Ignore pin 2, which is internally a continuation of the tab (and hence
a K pin), as you can see it's chopped-off and not available to the PCB.

** Look at the illustration of the D-Pack on page 1 of the pdf.

http://www.irf.com/product-info/datasheets/data/8ewf10s.pdf

The middle leg is truncated and not for connection to anything.

It is also so obviously connected to the mounting base or cathode.
